xOrestes Brownson Essay Contest | American Family Project

As we approach the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution, American Family Project and the Orestes Brownson Studies Foundation are eager to make Americans aware of Brownson's love for our Country and our Constitution. One way we do this is through our Orestes Brownson Essay Contest for undergraduates.

In 2025, we received 88 expressions of interest and 15 submissions to our initial contest. To reach our goal of 50 essay submissions we will have to expand the expressions of interest to 200 which will require expanded promotion. So besides the $15,000 prize money, we are trying to raise an additional $30,000 for marketing costs.
